There are certain things that you must first consider here before buying a new smartphone. The following are important factors to look at when it comes to smartphones:
- Cost – This obviously is the main factor that always bother you. Smartphones set at lower prices are normally sold at the streets or on black markets which are cheaper than compared to the ones sold at your local phone dealer shop (FoneHaus or RapidFone). However, we strongly recommend that you purchase a genuine smartphone at an authorized Digicel Shops or at your nearest FoneHaus or RapidFones.
- Features – most handsets sold at the streets or on black markets normally come with fake features. These are things such as low-quality camera; light weight device; slow or freezing when maneuvering through the device; poor or low battery life and etc.
- After sales service – When you purchase a smartphone from an authorized Digicel Shops or at FoneHaus or RapidFones, you get a warrantee doc where you can always bring it with the device back for a free fix for any software/hardware issues. However, with phones purchased on the streets, you will not be given any after sales service which will be a waste for your money.
- Fix and repairs – Phone sold on streets are mostly fake, hence, should you find any faults with them, chances are you will never be able to use them again. However, with handsets purchased from authorized phone dealer shops, your phone will definitely be fixed or repaired because there will be supply of repair parts available. Moreover, these repair parts are also sourced from the phone manufacturers (i.e.: Apple iPhone, Samsung, Huawei, Alcatel, etc.…) hence, you will have that same experience with your smartphone after when it is out from the phone repair shops.
